These bright little beetles had come to feast on the aphids that had recently discovered their own treat. I whispered my wish, as my godmother had taught me to do as a child, so that the ladybugs could carry my desire to the gods when they left my garden. I was grateful for their visit protecting my plants and bringing me luck.
These sweet ladybug mosaics are made with the red seeds of cranberries for abundance, and the black seeds of columbines, love in a mist, and black eye Susans for love.
